Input words limit:
Spicychat AI provides different types of text interactions during NSFW conversations.
First, I noticed that it doesn’t significantly limit the number of characters you can input, letting you type in a lot of text to reshape the story direction. It can also generate lengthy text responses.
However, it’s important to note that while there’s no character limit, there is a token limit, which I’ll explain in more detail later.
Text Edition:
In the generated text, you can rate each segment of text generated.
You can ask it to regenerate the texts if you are not satisfied.
You can ask the chatbots to continue to write the story without any input.
You can also edit the text the AI generated (including what you’ve input) to help you get the messages you really want.
Plus, you can switch between different messages to change storylines.
Performance of the Spicychat AI LLMs (Score: 8/10)
Spicy chat AI offers a total of 12 language models, with 3 available to free users and the remaining 9 requiring a paid subscription.
To view all the language models, go to the chat page with a character, click the three dots in the top right corner, then select “general settings” and choose “change models.”
This will display all the language models along with descriptions of their features.
What are the Parameters and Memory of an AI Model and how do they affect the performance?
Parameters are the building blocks of a large language model. More parameters help the model understand and create better text. They allow the model to grasp complex ideas and write more naturally.
Context memory is how well the model remembers what was said earlier. Good context memory helps the model understand the conversation better, stay consistent in long chats, and give personalized responses.
My own using Experiences of these models:
Wizard: Best: Best for AI Assistant and deep story writing,
Midnight Rose: Best for one-on-one bot character conversations
Command R: Great for simulations or survival horror
Dark Forest: Sometimes for random weirdness and having the AI think outside of the box
Stheno: Good for random scenario generation and assistance
Lyras is good for foreign stories in multiple languages, real or imagined, and personally.
I can’t stand Vivian at all and Airoboros is somewhat of a waste.
Noromaid and Mixtral are mediocre for me across the board.
Context memory (Score: 8/10)
For free users of Spicychat, it only provides you with a limited of 4K to 8K tokens of memory, which I think is more than the tokens given by other NSFW AI chat to free users.
Tokens are the smallest pieces of text that AI models and natural language processing work with.
The size of these pieces can change, but they usually correspond to words or characters. For instance, the sentence “Hello, how are you?” has 6 tokens: “Hello,” “,”, “how,” “are,” “you,” and “?”.
For an upgraded user, you can expand your context memory to 16K tokens.
But due to the upper token limit, not all of the conversation will be stored, only a small portion of your previous dialogue will be “remembered” by the character.
The mechanism behind is called “Semantic Memory” ，which means, for example, the character would only remember the key information like a book you have been discussing even if you shifted into another topic afterwards.
The advantage of semantic memory is that it doesn’t solely rely on the recentness of the conversation but also its relevance.
Create and Import Your Own AI Role Play (Score: 7.5/10)
Spicychat AI also supports you to customize your own character by choosing your avatars, names, titles, greetings, personality traits, scenario and example dialogue for your own.
Additionally, Spicychat AI allows for the import of characters that users prefer from Character AI, enhancing personalization options.
You can create your own avatar and settings in your profile. The character will remember your avatar and use it as a background when chatting with you.

Text-image Generation & Audio chat (Score: 5/10)
For “All in” subscribers, Spicychat AI provides a text-to-image generation function that can create anime-style images.
However, the effectiveness of these images isn’t always great.
Sometimes they don’t match the character’s avatar, can’t replicate the character’s physical attributes, and might not consider the content of the conversation.
In short, this feature is still quite basic.
Also, in the chat interface, it offers an audio chat option. But currently, you can only input voice through a microphone and convert it to text.
Some Problems Mentioned by Users about Spicychat AI
(1) Repetitive Responses
Some users reported receiving identical replies multiple times in a row, leading to frustration during interactions.
Spicychat tends to repeat itself far more, as well as just spouting large chunks of the character’s definition every now and then.
